METIER Productions can record your concert performances, whether for CD, DVD or simply to capture a one-off event. We can also record concerts for broadcast or for archive.

The METIER Mobile
Designed to provide an uncluttered, ideal environment for recording live and studio-session music events, the METIER Productions sound vehicle is ideal for recording to stereo or surround in any musical genre.

  • This new vehicle is based around a Yamaha DM1000v2 which can mix to surround and stereo simultaneously.
  • Monitoring is on PMC (Stereo) and Genelec (surround) controlled by SPL’s Surround Monitor Controller.
  • Acoustically treated to minimise unwanted noise from outside and to provide an ideal mixing environment even when situated near roads or in flight paths.
  • UPS power supply keeps things running in case of a short power break to the single 13amp RCD protected supply (which is all that is required).
  • Video tie lines allow for video monitors in the mixing position with a camera pointing at the stage if desired.

    Soon to be fitted:
  • Stage-box mic amps linked by MADI fibre-optic to the van (currently analogue multicore).
  • Steiberg’s Nuendo system will become the main multitrack system (currently Alesis HD24XR) allowing hard drives to be taken away with an entire project on, saved in a variety of platform formats.

    Other genres:
  • We can also record Pop / Rock-style music and other forms of amplified concert.
  • We take feeds from the PA and add additional microphones for sound coverage specific to the needs of a recording.
  • The recording would be made to 24bit multitrack.
  • The recording can either be mixed later in the METIER Mobile in stereo or surround, or taken away to be done in a studio of your choice.
  • A guide stereo recording of such events can also be provided to take away at the end of the gig.
  • Whether the performance is taking place in a theatre, a concert hall or a pub, we can capture the event.

  • We comply with all Health & Safety requirements.

  • We can also record meetings, conference proceedings, speeches, acts of worship, school music events, and drama performances, all to the same high standard.
